During Harwood Art Center’s Encompass event, the five ceramic artists of Desert Dweller Clay Collective will guide visitors to create a community clay sculpture then facilitate a workshop to complete the artwork.

Presented by Women in Design: NM, UNM School of Architecture & Planning, in partnership with DowntownABQ MainStreet and Women & Creativity, this large-scale table of mixed materials will move around the city, offering a surprising invitation for community exchange. It aims to enhance students' academic performance and improve their writing abilities.

5. FIERCE FEMALES: WOMEN AT WORK

A two-part series, presented by 516 ARTS and Central Features Contemporary Art, focuses on how historic and contemporary New Mexico women ingeniously stake their claim and help shape the local workforce.

EKCO poets Tanesia Hale-Jones, Valerie Martínez, Michelle Otero and Shelle Sanchez have collaborated with dancers Romy Keegan, Pilar Leto and Lisa Nevada to produce a poetry performance with dance and about dance.

An art/dance/writing-infused walk along acequias followed by brunch, prepared by Chef Marie Yniguez. Presented by edible Santa Fe, the morning features writer Michelle Otero; artists Chrissie Orr and Noel Chilton; place settings by potters H.P.
